Feather Flag Artwork Guidelines and File Preparation

Start with the template for the exact flag and printing option you are ordering. Keep important text and logos within the safe area, use clear artwork and check your final file before upload. Find your feather flag template.

1. Choose the correct template and scale

Use the size and scale stated in the current product template. Do not assume every flag uses the same scale or that display height equals the printed fabric height. If the file does not clearly state the scale, ask our team before preparing the design.

2. Keep the message readable

Choose a short headline or message, one main logo and a clear contrast between text and background. Avoid crowding the curved edge or pole sleeve with important details. View the complete design at a reduced size to see whether its main message remains clear.

3. Prepare logos, fonts and images

Vector artwork is useful for logos and lettering because it can be resized without pixelation. Outline fonts when exporting from vector design software and include any linked images. Enlarging a small web image or changing its DPI setting does not recreate missing detail.

The existing file guidance includes PDF, AI, EPS, JPEG and PSD. Confirm unusual formats and native design files with the team before sending them. For raster images, assess resolution at the intended final output size and follow the product template's instructions.

4. Follow the bleed, sleeve and safe-area markings

Extend backgrounds as required by the supplied template. Keep essential content away from cutting, stitching and sleeve areas. There is no single bleed measurement to apply to every flag shape or product: use its specific template.

5. Check the printing option

Single-sided printing produces a mirrored view on the reverse. If you have selected an available double-sided option, follow its separate artwork instructions. Check both designs carefully for spelling, orientation and placement.

6. Discuss colour-critical work before production

Tell us your Pantone references or brand colour requirements when ordering. Screen colours and printed fabric can look different, so discuss the required result and any proofing arrangements before production. Do not rely on a screen preview as a promise of an exact colour match.

7. Upload and confirm your deadline
