Teardrop flags: designing for a distinctive curved shape
A teardrop flag has a rounded upper area and a narrowing lower shape. That makes the artwork proportions different from a rectangular banner or a feather flag. A bold logo and short message can use the visible area effectively, while a design with lots of small text can become crowded towards the narrower sections.
Choose the size and display position
The range includes small, medium, large and XL teardrop flags. Check the current product dimensions and matching template for your chosen size. Allow room for the assembled flag, base and movement around it, including clearance above the pole.
Plan the printed faces and safe area
Single-sided printing is seen in reverse from the back. Where a double-sided choice is offered, it can allow wording to read correctly from opposite directions. Check the individual size options rather than assuming every teardrop kit is the same. Keep logos and lettering inside the template safe area and away from the pole sleeve and curved edges.
Choose a compatible base
Start with the surface: suitable soft ground, hard standing or a vehicle display. Then compare the base choices shown on the product. Ground spikes, weighted bases and drive-on options have different uses. If you already have hardware, send its model or a photograph so compatibility can be checked. Follow the supplied securing and weather guidance.
Prepare a useful artwork brief
Send the logo, main message, brand colours and any reference images, together with the size and printed sides you want. Our free artwork service can adapt the design to the teardrop shape.
